Priest:
Father, in today's Gospel we have heard how Jesus took pity on the crowd; so it is with confidence that we place our needs before you in his name.

Reader:

We pray in the words of St. Paul that nothing will come between us and the love of Christ, Not even if we are troubled or worried, or being persecuted, or lacking food or clothes, or being threatened or even attacked. That through all these trials we will triumph, by the power of him who loves us. Lord, in your mercy

We pray for those who have the goods of this world but who still hunger for the food that doesn't perish. May they find the answer to their deepest needs in drawing close to Jesus, the Bread of Life.
Lord, in your mercy

For the Christian communities of the Middle East, especially in the Holy Land, in and around Mosul in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Iran and all troubled areas of the world, that Christ may bring them comfort and strength.

For our relatives and friends who have died. May death not separate them from the love of God made visible in Christ Jesus, our Lord.

We ask Mary, Queen of Peace, to intercede for all God’s people, living and dead, as we pray together: Hail Mary…

Jesus brought healing, comfort and new life to those who believed. Let us join our prayers of intercession for our needs and the needs of the world.

For Pope Francis, the Church and her leaders: may they continue to be a sign of faith to all people in a world faced with sadness and strife. Lord in your mercy

For our priests and deacons: May their lives of service and that of all priests, deacons and religious, be an inspiration and lead to an increase in vocations. Lord in your mercy

For our Parish: may we continue actively to encourage others to share their gifts, energy and enthusiasm with our Church, so that our community of faith may be a living example of the mystery of God’s presence among us. Lord in your mercy

We pray for the sick and housebound who are with us here in spirit. We also remember all who have died and whose anniversaries occur about this time. May they enjoy the eternal light of your risen glory. Lord in your mercy
