Easter 3 : Bidding Prayers / Intercessions / Prayer of the Faithful

The Priest introduces the prayers:

Fellow pilgrims, as we journey along the way of Christ, let us pray to the Father for the Church and the world.

Reader:

We pray for the Church, that all who preach the word of God may be bright with the living Spirit of Jesus, and that those who hear them may listen, understand and encounter Christ. Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for the peoples of the world, that the resurrection of Our Lord may be for them a sign of hope, not of conflict, and that peace and justice may prevail everywhere. Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for those in need for the elderly and infirm, who are having to accept a loss of their independence; for all with mental or physical disabilities which cause isolation or rejection; for all who are blind to the needs around them; for the sick and those who care for them; that we may see what Christ would have us do in our lives. Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray with our blessed Lady. Hail Mary ...

Let us pray in silence to our heavenly Father.

The Priest concludes the prayers:

Father, we adore you and open ourselves to your healing love. Accept us, and our prayers, dear Father, for the sake of Jesus, the Christ. Amen.
