Priest:
Gathered in the name of Christ, nourished by the word of God and inspired by the Holy Spirit, let us pray for the Church and for the world.
Reader:
For Pope Benedict, Bishop Bernard and all our bishops; may they be renewed in their apostolic calling to witness to the Gospel.
Lord in your mercy.
We pray that the Lord will send workers into his harvest and bring the world to the knowledge and love of God.
Lord in your mercy.
That God will gather into one, all who bear the name of Christian, so the world may faithfully believe in Christ whom he sent.
Lord in your mercy.
That by our lives we may be the light of the world and salt of the earth – a sign raised up among nations.
Lord in your mercy.
Let us commend ourselves and all God’s people living and dead to the intercession of Our Blessed Lady as we say Hail Mary.
Let us now pray for a moment in silence.
Priest:
Lord, we thank you for the gift of faith. Help us to keep that faith intact and to share it with others. We ask this through Christ our Lord.

It might be nice to add a bidding prayer for those who serve others as that is the theme this week. I am hoping to do this with our children's liturgy this week. Thanks for the prayers.
