Fourth Sunday of Easter (Good Shepherd Sunday)
Priest:
God is our maker, redeemer and sustainer: we turn to Him for all our needs.
Reader:
Good Shepherd, risen from the dead,
you gave to the apostle Peter the care of your flock;
may Pope Francis be ever strengthened in charity and zeal.
Lord in your mercy
Let us pray also for our Bishop N
and for all Bishops, priests, deacons and leaders of your Church;
strengthen them in the spirit to carry out your work.
Lord in your mercy
We thank God for the our Diocese and we ask God to bless it with an increase in vocations to the priesthood, Permanent Diaconate and religious life.
Lord in your mercy
We thank God for the work of Catholic schools in our diocese and throughout our nation and we ask God to bless them with an increase in vocations to Catholic education
Lord in your mercy
You called Mary to be your mother and ours; may we be always ready to use our gifts to care for others.
Lord in your mercy
Let us ask for the intercession of our Lady as we say Hail Mary
In silence let us bring our own needs and intentions to God.
Priest:
Father we ask you to listen to all our prayers which we make in faith through Christ our Lord. Amen.
