Second Sunday of Lent (B)
Priest:
As we reflect on the glory of the transfiguration. May God, the loving Father, shower his heavenly blessings on our prayers.
Reader:
For Pope Francis; for bishops clergy and religious; and for the whole Church.
May we work together in our calling to be faithful witnesses
and so draw all we meet to experience the glory of the Gospel.
Lord, hear us.
For the people of all troubled areas of the world.
May Christ's love touch them with peace and rest.
Lord, hear us.
For CAFOD, and other Aid Agencies as they face continual demands on their resources from so many places and peoples,
may their work may be generously resourced and richly blessed by God.
Lord, hear us.
For those who have recently died, and for all whose anniversaries occur at this time, may they rest in the peace and joy of heaven.
Lord, hear us.
We ask Our Blessed Lady to help us in our prayers, as we say - Hail Mary.
Now in silence we pray for our own needs and intentions.
Priest:
Father, you called Abraham to be a model of faith, and you glorified your Son, Jesus. May we live in the hope and trust that you are always with us. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
