27th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Priest:
Confident of our covenant with God and our unity with our brothers and sisters, we present these prayers before God's throne.
Reader:
For the family of the church. May we lead the way in demonstrating the care, compassion and inclusive forgiveness that lies at the heart of family life,
Lord, hear us.
For the work of CAFOD, the Food Bank, and all agencies who help those in acute need
that together we may strive for a fairer world,
bringing bread to those who are hungry and hope to those who are oppressed.
Lord, hear us.
For all married people. May couples be sensitive to each other's needs, that they may grow daily more in love for each other.
Lord, hear us.
For all children. May children grow up in a loving families, and may families be found for the children waiting to be adopted.
Lord, hear us.
For all those affected by conflict and political instability, including those separated from their families. May they be treated with dignity, care and compassion, acknowledging that all humanity is one family in God.
Lord, hear us.
Let us turn to Our Lady, Queen of the Holy Rosary and pray, Hail Mary…
Let us now pray for a moment in silence
Priest.
God of love, draw us always to You,
so that we may imitate your love and compassionate care for those in need.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
