Easter 4 (B)
The good shepherd is one who lays down his life for his sheep (John 10:11)
Priest:
With faith and trust, let us present our needs to the Father,
who speaks to us through His beloved Son, the Brave and Kind Shepherd of our souls.
Reader:
For the Church: that she may be the brave Shepherd of Christ's flock, being generous in faith, loving the needy, and sharing the the joy of the Gospel. Lord hear us.
For the bishops, priests, deacons and religious men and women of our Archdiocese:
that they may be faithful to the life to which they have been called, and untiring in their work of compassion. Lord hear us.
For an increase of vocations to the priesthood and religious life:
That, with bravery and kindness, people will respond to the voice of Christ the Good Shepherd, with courage and compassion. Lord hear us.
For our Parish community: that we may grow in kindness.
By living our call to be follow Christ, may we be beacons of truth and love.
Lord hear us.
For those who have died:
that the souls of faithful departed will find everlasting joy in God’s heavenly sheepfold.
Lord hear us.
We ask Mary, mother of vocations, to pray for us as we say, Hail Mary..
We pray for our own needs and intentions.
Priest:
Heavenly Father, in your kindness, hear all the prayers which we make,
and give us the courage to serve you as your faithful flock. Through Christ our Lord.
