5th Sunday the Year (C)
They left everything and followed him
Priest:
With the Lord at our side, we can launch out into the deep and not be afraid. Therefore, confident in his saving grace, let us voice our needs and the needs of the world.
Reader:
For our Holy Father, Pope Francis, and for leaders of other ecclesial communities and faiths: that the Lord may strengthen them to lead the world towards a true and lasting peace.
Lord, hear us.
For those in our parish working towards full membership of the Church and for those continuing with their First Communion and Confirmation preparations:
that the Lord may inspire and strengthen them in their journey. Lord, hear us.
For all those called to preach the gospel of God’s love:
that His grace may not be fruitless in them. Lord, hear us.
For young people in the Church:
that, like the disciples, they may respond to the call of God, and follow him in their particular vocation. Lord, hear us.
For all who are suffering from sickness and for all who have asked for our prayers:
that they may experience Christ’s healing power. Lord, hear us.
For all those who have died;
that the Lord may gather them into his nets in the great harvest of heaven.Lord, hear us.
Let us now ask Mary to join her prayers to ours as we say. Hail Mary..
Now let us pray for a moment in silence
Priest:
Heavenly Father, we offer all these prayers in faith, through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
