Fourth Sunday of Lent (Mothering Sunday)

Priest:
Our Lord tells us that God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not be lost but may have eternal life. Aware of this generous love, let us know bring ours to him

Reader:
We pray for all mothers, on this Mothering Sunday; may they always experience joy and love from their children. Lord, hear us.

We pray for the world in which we live: In spite of hatred, cruelty and hostility to the Gospel, may the Lord never cease to love the world and give himself for it. Lord, hear us.

Let us pray for those who are sick, both in mind and body, that God may hear their prayers Lord, hear us.

There are many among us whose mothers have gone to God, and who still daily feel the sadness of their loss. May we, through God's love for us, find consolation in memories of these special women, certain of their place in God's kingdom Lord, hear us.

We pray for all mothers, on this Mothering Sunday; may they always experience joy and love from their children. Lord, hear us.

On this special day for Mothers, let us turn to Christ's own mother, asking that she lay our prayers before her beloved Son, as we say. Hail Mary
Let us pray in silence for our own intentions.

Priest:

Almighty God, listen to our prayers, and in your mercy and love answer them, and give us your blessing. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
