Second Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Here I am, Lord!
Priest:
Let us turn to God, the giver of all life and peace, for all our needs.
Reader:
We pray for the Church, its ministers and its people. Like Eli who guided the infant Samuel, may they give the teaching, advice and help which leads us to the Lord.
Lord, hear us.
We pray for vocations: may more and more faithful servants of God hear and respond to his call to service in the priesthood, the religious life, or as teachers and carers.
Lord, hear us.
We pray for ourselves: that in compassion and mercy, we may bring God’s healing and love to the sick, the suffering, the addicted and the dying.
Lord, hear us.
We pray for all who have died. We remember those whose anniversaries fall at this time. And we pray all who have died as a result of violence and warfare. May they have light and peace.
Lord, hear us.
Let us turn to Our Lady who heard God’s call and submitted to his will, to intercede for us as we say, Hail Mary
Let us pray for our own intentions in silence.
Priest:
God our loving Father,
Hear these prayer we offer.
May the power of your Spirit, dwelling amongst us,
help us make bring these prayers to reality. Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
