5th Sunday of the Year A
Priest:
Dear friends in Christ, let us pray to our heavenly Father, trusting in his generous mercy.
Reader:
Let us pray for the Church as it witnesses to Christ in the world; that its members may be always aware that they are called to be servants, ready and happy to minister to the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of all people. Lord Hear us
For the leaders of every community and nation; that all governments may reflect the values of responsible caring, compassion and integrity, so that no individual or minority group is abused or left in need. Lord Hear us
For all the troubled parts of our world, especially Egypt at this time of crisis. May national leaders work collaboratively to establish hope, justice and equality for all without discrimination. Lord Hear us
Let us pray for all married people and especially those experiencing difficulties in their lives; may the example of the Holy Family help to unite them in love. Lord Hear us.
For all those who have died, we pray especially for Noreen Miles and for those whom we have been asked to pray: may the Lord grant them eternal life. Lord Hear us.
Joining with Mary, who brought the Light into the world, we make our prayer: Hail Mary…
Priest
Father, God of love, Increase our love for each other, and hear us as we pray, We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
