Sixth Sunday of Easter (B)
Priest:
We give thanks to Christ our Lord, who loves and cares for us, and turn to Him in trust as we pray
Reader:
For the church: may she continue to demonstrate in words and actions the love of Christ to all peoples.
Lord, hear us.
For missionaries:
may they proclaim the Good News to our brothers and sisters who live in ignorance of His saving love.
Lord, hear us.
For Christians who are persecuted for their faith:
that in this Easter season they may they be comforted by the One who suffered for all on the cross.
Lord, hear us.
For ourselves:
that through the Holy Spirit we may be granted the wisdom to follow Christ’s command to love one another,
and see Him in all who we meet.
Lord, hear us.
For those who are sick:
may they experience Christ’s healing love.
Lord, hear us.
For the holy souls:
may all who have died follow where Christ has led,
and find hope in His glory.
Lord, hear us.
We turn to Mary, the Mystical Rose, and seek her intercession as we say Hail Mary …
In the silence of our hearts, we bring our own needs and intentions to our loving God.
Priest:
Father, you sent your Son into the world
to show us the depth of your love,
accept these prayers we now offer in his name,
Jesus Christ, your Son, our Lord. Amen
