Bidding Prayers for the Feast of Christ the King
Priest:
As we acknowledge Christ our Lord and King, let us ask his to remember us in all our needs.
Reader:
As the Year of Mercy comes to an end, we pray that through the teaching of Pope Francis, the whole Church may be inspired to live always in mercy, loving God and our neighbour.
Lord in your mercy,
For young Christians: that the whole Church may protect and encourage them,
teaching them the merciful love of God..
We pray in particular this weekend for our Diocesan Youth Services.
Lord in your mercy
For those suffering hardship and financial difficulties, the sick and housebound of our parish and all those whose worries seem insurmountable, that the Lord may remember them always and grant them comfort. Lord in your mercy
For those who have died. May God give them peace, sustain their families and friends, that Christ our Lord may at last welcome them into his Kingdom. Lord in your mercy
We ask Mary, Queen of Heaven, to remember us as we say, Hail Mary …
Let us pray silently for our own intentions.
Priest:
Father, you call us to dwell with you in the kingdom of your Son. Remember us always, that he may be our Lord and King for ever and ever. Amen.
