25th Sunday of the Year
The Priest says:
The Lord Jesus calls us to proclaim his joy. Let us make our prayer with him to the Father for the needs of the Church and of the world.
Reader:
We pray for all leaders and all who exercise political authority;
may they respect people’s religious freedom
so that all may live in harmony.
Lord, hear us.
We pray for ourselves,
may we be heralds of the Good news
as we share the joy of love with those they meet.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We for all who work alongside the sick, the poor and the needy;
may the joy and help that they bring to others
always be an expression of the love of Christ.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for the faithful departed,
that through God's mercy they may rest in peace.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We ask Our Lady to pray for us. Hail Mary.
Let us pray in silence for our own needs.
The priest concludes the prayers:
Father, hear the prayers of the family you have gathered here before you. In mercy and love unite all your children, wherever they may be. Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
