Trinity Sunday
The Priest says:
Dear Friends, in the name of Jesus Christ who redeemed us, and the Holy Spirit who sanctifies us, we make our prayers to God our Father.
Reader:
We pray for the Church,
that she may always proclaim the eternal truth of salvation,
and the love of God the three in One.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for the peace and unity of the world,
as God is three persons and yet a perfect Unity,
may all peoples be joined together in peace and may conflict come to an end.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for those who suffer and for those who care for them,
may the love of the Holy Trinity be their hope and comfort.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for those who have died,
as they have known the disunity and uncertainty of this life, may they enjoy the harmony and certainty of life eternal.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray for a renewal of our baptismal commitment,
may we who have been baptised in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit
be faithful to the vows which were made.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.
We pray with Mary, Mother of God. Hail Mary .
Let us pray for a moment in silence,
making our prayers to God our almighty Father.
The priest concludes the prayers:
Father, in the power of the Spirit, we make these prayers through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
