30th Sunday of the Year (28th October)

Priest:
Everything we have comes from God. In a spirit of praise and thanksgiving we place our needs before him.

Reader:
Let us pray for our country, and particularly for those who serve in the armed forces especially in Iraq, Afghanistan and other troubled places in the world: may those called to serve their country us always seek the good of every citizen.
Lord, hear us.

Let us pray for those who suffer for their faith, and for the work of Aid to the Church in need.
Lord, hear us.

Let us pray for our parish community that the Lord will always be among us and inspire us to be witnesses to those around us.
Lord, hear us.

Let us pray for r all our friends and relations who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith. May they rejoice with the saints for ever.
Lord, hear us.

We turn in prayer to Mary our Mother in faith. Hail Mary …

We pray in silence for a moment.

Priest:
Lord our God,
hear our prayer.
Grant that we may have the confidence
to turn to you in every need.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
