Twenty-Second Sunday in Ordinary Time (B)
Priest:
We turn to God in prayer for the needs of the Church and the world.
Reader:
For all nations: that they may seek the way that leads to peace, that human rights and freedom may be everywhere respected, and that the world's resources may be generously shared.
Lord, hear us.
For all those fleeing from the war in Syria: that the international community will seek to help all in need
Lord, hear us.
At the start of the new term in our seminaries we pray for those who may be called to enter the Priesthood, Permanent Diaconate or Consecrated life, and for each one of us here whatever our vocation. May we have the courage and generosity to answer God’s call.
Lord, hear us.
For our friends and relations who are sick. May God’s healing grace help them in their afflictions.
Lord, hear us.
For all those who have died. May they rest in the peace of Christ.
Lord, hear us.
Let us ask Blessed Mary to pray for us: Hail Mary ...
Let us now bring our own needs and requests to the Lord in a time of silent prayer.
Priest:
God, our loving Father, we ask you to listen to all our prayers because we make them in faith and in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who is Lord for ever and ever. Amen
