Bidding Prayers for Lent 2
Priest: Loving Lord, we place all our hope in you as we come with our concerns for our own needs, and the needs of the world.
Reader: For Pope Francis; clergy and religious; and for the whole Church. May we work together in our calling to be faithful witnesses and so draw all we meet to experience the meaning and purpose of the Gospel message. Lord in your mercy
For vocations to the priesthood, permanent diaconate and religious life. May the Holy Spirit guide the hearts and minds of those called by the Lord and give them courage to commit their lives unstintingly to the service of others. Lord in your mercy.
For the people of Ukraine and the Middle East and for all other troubled areas of the world. May Christ’s love touch them with peace and rest. Lord in your mercy.
For CAFOD and other Aid Agencies as they face continual demands on their resources from so many parts of the world, that their work may be generously resourced and richly blessed by God. Lord in your mercy
For those who have recently died, and for all whose anniversaries occur at this time, may they rest in the peace and in joy of heaven. Lord in your mercy
We ask Our Blessed Lady to help us in our prayers, as we say - Hail Mary.
Now in silence we pray for our own needs and intentions.
Priest: God our loving Father, we ask you to listen to all our prayers which we make them in faith and in the name of Jesus your Son who is Lord for ever and ever. Amen.
