Second Sunday of Easter
Priest:
With trust in the Divine Mercy, we now bring all our prayers before the Lord.
Reader:
For Pope Francis. May he draw the whole Church closer to the mercy of Jesus who enabled the apostle Thomas to move from his doubt to complete faith in Jesus, crucified and risen Lord.
Lord in your mercy
For those world leaders facing up to each other on Ukraine. May they never doubt the power of God’s truth and love, but rather take refuge in it, as they seek to resolve international problems
Lord in your mercy
For those who pass on the story and word of Jesus to others, especially parents, priests, deacons, teachers and catechists, pastoral workers and chaplains. May they do so with the enthusiasm of the first apostles.
Lord in your mercy
God grant eternal rest to all who have died, we remember especially the young students in the recent South Korean ferry disaster. May they come to share the fullness of the mercy of the Risen Christ
Lord in your mercy
Let us ask Our Lady to join her prayers to ours as we say - Hail Mary
In silence let us bring our own intentions to God.
Priest:
Almighty God we ask you to answer all our prayers which we make in faith through Our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.
