The Priest says:
Brothers and sisters, as we thank God for Saint Peter and Saint Paul, let us pray that they may continue to inspire the Church in its mission and care, as we pray for the needs of the world.

Reader:
We pray for Pope Benedict,
that he may be guided by the Holy Spirit,
to lead in truth and love the universal Church
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for all priests
that supported by the prayers of these holy apostles
and inspired by their lives
they may faithfully life out their vocations for the salvation of the world.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for the sick and those who care for them,
may they meet their sufferings with courage and with hope.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for those departed this life,
may they come to share in the glory of heaven with Saints Peter and Paul.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

With Our Lady, we pray: Hail Mary .

Let us pray in silence to our heavenly Father.

The priest concludes the prayers:
Father Almighty, enlarge our hearts and kindle our zeal, that like Peter and Paul, we may seek the salvation of all peoples. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

My brothers and sisters, in the name of Jesus Christ the High Priest, in whose priesthood we share through the sacrament of baptism, we call on God our Father to answer our petitions, which we now make with confidence.

We pray for the Church,
may the celebrations of the sacraments, especially the Holy Mass, fill us with a sense not only of God’s nearness, but also with awe at his greatness and compassion.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for the leaders of the wealthy nations,
may Jesus’s concern for the hungry find a response in their hearts, so that no one in our world dies of hunger, or is forced to live in sub-human conditions.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for those deprived of the sacraments,
may we be one in love and prayer with all those who are not allowed to practice their faith, and cannot receive their Lord in the eucharist.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for a spirit of prayer and generosity in this parish,
may our union with Christ in the Mass lead us to a deeper personal life, and to a generous sharing of our time and talents with each other.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray with Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ our High Priest: Hail Mary .

that she may always proclaim the eternal truth of salvation,
and the love of God the three in One.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for the peace and unity of the world,
as God is three persons and yet a perfect Unity,
may all peoples be joined together in peace and may conflict come to an end.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for those who suffer and for those who care for them,
may the love of the Holy Trinity be their hope and comfort.
Lord, hear us. Lord, graciously hear us.

We pray for those who have died,
as they have known the disunity and uncertainty of this life, may they enjoy the harmony and certainty of life eternal.

We pray for a renewal of our baptismal commitment,
may we who have been baptised in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit
be faithful to the vows which were made.

We pray with Mary, Mother of God. Hail Mary .

making our prayers to God our almighty Father.
