22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time : Bidding Prayers / Intercessions / Prayer of the Faithful

Priest:
We turn to God our loving father and ask him for all our needs

Reader:

We pray for Benedict our Pope, our Bishops and our diocesan priests and deacons, especially Fr. Peter and Deacon Tony. May they inspire us by their word and example.
Lord in your mercy,

We pray for all those who travel by land, sea or air that they will come safely to their destination.
Lord in your mercy,

We pray for farmers and all who work on the land at this time of harvest.
Lord in your mercy,

As the schools return this week we pray for all teachers, assistants, governors, parents and pupils, especially for those feeling a little bit uncertain or anxious.
Lord in your mercy.

We pray for those who rest in Christ and for all the dead whose faith is known to God alone. May they rest in peace.
Lord in your mercy

We turn to Mary and ask her to join her prayers with ours as we say. Hail Mary…

Let us pray for a few moments in the silence of our hearts…

Priest:

Father of love in whom there is no variation or shadow, hear the prayers we offer this day and inspire us to be doers of the word, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
