22nd Sunday of the Year: Bidding Prayers / Prayers of the Faithful / Intercessions

Priest:
Christ is an inspiration; it is in Him that we come together to make our prayer to God the Father of us all.

Reader:

We pray for the Pope, bishops and clergy that they may seek integrity and be true to their calling (pause) Lord in your mercy

Let us pray for our world leaders. May they have the gifts of wisdom and discernment and learn to think in God’s way and not man’s in the decisions they make on our behalf. (pause) Lord in your mercy

We pray for our brothers and sisters who are suffering for their belief in Christ, that they may remain steadfast in their conviction
 (pause) Lord in your mercy

Let us pray for all who suffer in body, mind or spirit, may they be cared for with, gentleness and patience (pause) Lord in your mercy

For all those who have died. May the Lord grant them and all the faithful departed the full growth of the life he puts within them, and that with him they have found the way to the resurrection.
(pause) Lord in your mercy

We now turn to Our Lady, Queen of Peace, and seek her intercession as we say - Hail Mary.

In the silence of our hearts we pray for own particular needs.

Priest:

Almighty Father, teach us to serve you faithfully in all that we do, through the example of your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
